I like it here because of the variety...

You can talk about FS - you can have serious discussions about plot and character and usually you'll get someone who can give you a run for your money in a *discussion*! And there are bound to be people who will give you insight into aspects of Farscape you hadn't thought of etc.

And you can also talk nonsense about Farscape! Wanna know the effects of chocolate deprivation and icecream abandonment in the UT?? You'll get that here!

Also, a well as being serious occasionally, you are also among friends if
you have drooling tendancies - primary droolee is JC/BB but Aeryn, Chi etc also get their fair share....if you <thud> on a regular basis you'll fit right in!

There are a lot of knowledgeable people here! We sniff out spoilers, tidbits, interviews, merch....and we believe that Ang has this *channeling thing* going with Mr Kemper.....

There are a lot of knowledgeable people here! About stuff!! Be it web sites, pc's, dvds, HTML, stuff, techie stuff, and stuff.....with any luck you'll get someone who knows what you're on about....and if not, you can always use us for a shoulder to sob, sniff on!!

You don't have to talk about Farscape!! (as if....!!) We're just as happy for you to talk off topic about games (euch!!), Buffy, Angel, stuff, life, stuff, films and other stuff...we even have an Off Topic folder for it!

Its all good clean fun...and if it isn't it goes in the Adult folder!

I feel as though it's much more personal than the Scifi Board.

Even though we all know each other and get on(well, most of the time hehe) and that we're like a smaller pact group it's always open to ANYONE becoming a member and participating in discussions but at the same time, they don't have to commit themselves to anything and post every single day just so they can then say they are an official member.

Thats the impression I get from the small group of scapers at the scifi board who manage CB's b-day 'party'. Sorry to anyone who is part of that group but thats just how I feel. Me and a friend tried involving ourselves but they didn't seem very open to 'newbies'.

We can have really in depth conversations and discussions about Farscape and they'll always be some humour in it, just like the show and unlike the beeb. And then basically everything Ellie has said <G> Maybe you could have pics from the 'Meets' and just pics of us in general....or maybe not <BG>(Ed:I'm working on it..woohoo mug shots!<g>)

principal droolee as far as I am concerned, there's loads more guys who
think the same but they're just not as vocal as the girls in their
drooling over BB! *G* Oh, and what Maria said too! I just feel it's a very
friendly place with some really great, smart people who really know their
Farscape, and their computers.

Been looking through some old threads for quotes, was a great reminder of why I like this place so much! There are thought provoking serious discussions of eps and characters but a healthy amount of daftness too. Plus the "roving reporters" (special honours to front-line correspondent Angie!) do us proud with all the heads-up - a trip a day here and you're up to speed on the FS universe:) And the best thing for me is the friendliness, it just has a very comfy welcoming feel to it where you can post pretty much anything and not worry too much about making a fool of yourself:)

Why do I come here?.... hmmmm, well it has a lot of UK people in one place with a nice mixture of people from America, France, Canada, Germany.... I find a lot of 'non-official' boards do not have this.... (Official boards are too hard to keep up with, thats why I'm not too fond of them :) I am free of the beebs nannying! hoorah! and can post web addresses and attach pics freely :) I know a lot of people in here really well and the mix of people is great too :) everyone has a different fav character, we have arty, creative people, argumentative people (in a nice way :) people who make you laugh, people who can be serious....... and people are so nice and generous! :).... Its a real tight-knit community :) .... but seriously, its Ben really, the only reason I live is because of Ben.... <frowns> why else do you think I'd come here? (lol, hehehe.... ignore that mad last comment, its all of the above that make me come here :) LJ. :0)
